31th Annual Granville Harvest Fair

October 6, 7 & 8 ,2012

 

 

Vendors and Craftsmen may request an application to participate at Fair at one of the following venues.  Your request should include a #10 self-addressed stamped envelope.  

 

The 1802 Old Meeting House

Located three doors east of the Town Hall parking lot at the top of the hill you will find a glorious display of Quilts from the Granville Quilt and Needle work Guild.  There are vendors with a variety of handmade/homemade crafts and artwork on display and for sale.  Slices of hot apple pie, soups, and baked goods may be enjoyed indoors or out in the sunshine.  The Annual Tractor show and Scarecrow Convention will be on the lawn.

The Town Green

During the Fair, the Town Green takes on a life of it’s own.  It is transformed into an outdoor bazaar.  The Police Association, Fire Department, EMT’s, Lion’s Club along with the Scoop and Hilltown Pork all provide an array of delicious foods.  There are over 30 Vendors and Craftsmen displaying a variety of wonderful items to view or purchase.  You will hear lively music.

The Federated Church

The Church, across from the Town Green, has spaces for vendors in the Fellowship Hall and limited spaces on the lawn.  There will be Gourmet Coffee and baked goods, Attic Treasures, handmade-homemade jewelry, bead and needlework items and delicious food for your enjoyment.

The Granville Library

On the Library lawn at the corner of routes 57 and 189, you will find a beehive of activity and the best hot dogs with home made relish at the fair.  Our giant book and magazine sale along with vendors displaying knitted children's sweaters, quilts, jewelry, wooden items, hydrangeas and mums, stuffed animals, Christmas wreaths and decorations, maple products and much more are available.

The Village School

At the Village School you will find about 27 vendors who have handmade crafts including jewelry, candles, knit and holiday items, leather goods, country crafts and photographers.  The Student Council greets fair goers with popcorn and caramel apples as you enter the school.  Inside the Granville Parents Association offers homemade Gumbo Soup, macaroni/cheese, soda, water, coffee and a variety of baked goods.

The Drum Shop Museum

At the Noble & Cooley Center for Historic Preservation there is indoor space (with electrical hook-ups) in an historic building available for crafters.  There will also be a schedule of live demonstrations on an outdoor stage for those interested in sharing their crafts.
